We offer three different licenses, 1 free and 2 paid. Licenses are seated users. Anyone can purchase a license through Champly’s website via Stripe, although larger enterprise deals are via ACH. We give users the ability to choose a monthly or annual plan. Annual plans are slightly cheaper.

Customer Acquisition Strategy

Through now, most of our customers (free and paid) have been self-sourced by Connor and Devon. The majority of our users are individual contributors using a single free license each, although we intend to multithread within those accounts in which case paid expansion is required.

We’ve structured our pricing and signup process to allow and encourage individual contributors to start building with Champly.

To date, we’ve taken a two-pronged approach to sourcing new users. For the first 60 days, Devon got signups from individual contributors (mostly Account Executives) at organizations that fit ICP. These users were given free licenses, with our intentions to be to have them champion Champly after successfully using it.

Meanwhile, Connor has mostly focussed on subsidizing these free users via larger paid enterprise deals. We have already closed one (Fastspring) for $10,000 ARR, and are in discussion with two more of similar sizes, as well as a few smaller opportunities between $1,000 and $4,000 ARR.
